BEYOND THE MASK
Join the Brain Injury Network of Dallas (BIND) in our mission to provide tools and a bridge of support to adult brain injury survivors across the DFW community so they can reconnect into life, the community and the workplace. Your partnership and support of the BIND 2020 Gala –“Beyond the Mask” will help to reduce the severity of depression, increase a brain injury survivor’s return to gainful employment or productive community volunteering, and improve quality of life.
The BIND 2020 Gala, our signature fundraiser, will be held on Friday, November 20th at the Marriott Dallas Quorum hotel. The evening will feature an extensive silent auction, wine pull, live music, photo booth fun, a delicious dinner, dessert and powerful program including the presentation of the 2020 Goodman Award.
The Goodman Award is given in honor of the late James (Jim) Michael Goodman whose mask is included in our “Unmasking Brain Injury” traveling exhibit. The collection is part of the national Unmasking Brain Injury project to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury; to give survivors a voice and the means to educate others of what it’s like to live with a brain injury; to show others that persons living with a disability due to their brain injury are like anyone else, deserving of dignity, respect, compassion and the opportunity to prove their value as citizens.
There are many ways to support 2020 Gala – “Beyond the Mask”. Connect with us today to become a sponsor, sign on as a table host, purchase tickets, make a donation, provide an honor or memorial gift, or donate an auction or wine item.
