Clarity is something we all strive for yet it’s so difficult to attain…while we start the New Year with goals to try and gain clarity – we all know where that ends up…
In Greg McKoewen’s book, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, he helps us put things into perspective. He writes “Clarity about what is essential fuels us with the strength to say no to the nonessentials.”
It’s a difficult thing to do with all of the stuff that’s thrown at us almost every second of every day.
Mary Oliver wrote in her poem, The Summer Day: “Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
She puts everything into perspective, doesn’t she?
At the Brain Injury Network of Dallas (BIND), we know it’s essential that brain-injured adults re-learn life skills in a safe environment and make their way back into society. We are one of the few not-for-profit resources in Dallas that provides that bridge and we are proud of it.
